Stash a stir stick in your flour container to level
You know those stir sticks you have by your bar that only get used a couple of times a year? Well, pull them out because many of them are the perfect material and shape to use as levelers in your flour/sugar/grain bins. (is "leveler" a word?).
They usually have a long flat edge to do the job and clean up easily. Many are so colorful you can't miss them. They stand up straight when the container is full so you don't lose them. They usually have a ball or some other shape on the end so they are easy to grab. Plus you aren't always looking for a knife to make a straight edge on the measuring cup. And then you don't have to wash the knife. Win-win.
